Conferences and events
PARBICA organises and is involved in a variety of conferences and events. Learn more about some of these events below.
Every two years PARBICA holds a conference. The next PARBICA conference will be held in 2017.
These conferences provide a unique opportunity to make or renew professional contacts with other archivists working in the Pacific region. Conference delegates discuss common problems and explore possible solutions in small groups and plenary sessions. The conferences include workshop sessions aimed at building the technical and professional knowledge of our members.
The conferences include the formal PARBICA General Conference where decisions are made about PARBICA's strategic activities and policies and where the Bureau is elected.
