Designing the Archive, 21-25 October 2019 – Adelaide
Every two years PARBICA holds a conference. These conferences provide a unique opportunity to make and renew professional contacts with other archivists working in the Pacific region.
2019 presents a rare opportunity for members to engage with the broader international archival community. This year PARBICA is partnering with the International Council on Archives (ICA), the Australian Society of Archivists (ASA) and Archives and Records Association of New Zealand Te Huinga Mahara (ARANZ) to present Designing the Archive 2019. The conference will be in Adelaide, South Australia, 21-25 October 2019.
Designing the Archive 2019 will explore human-centric design processes, empathy, creativity, innovation, experimentation, prototyping, and co-design in the development of recordkeeping systems, information governance frameworks, archival programs and services, archive buildings and spaces, and digital archives.
The conference will be of interest to archivists, recordkeepers, manuscript librarians, data and information managers. It is an international conference open to those working in government, universities, schools, and the private sector. The conference is open to people who are not members of the host associations.
